A Pioneer Designer and Calligrapher of Indo-Pakistan

Abstract

Jacobüs Michael’s contribution in the field of research,
design and calligraphy in Indo-Pakistan is prodigious, yet he was lost to
history, primarily because he did not promote his work, and partly
because those responsible for giving him credit failed to do so. This
paper attempts to reconstruct the life and works of this researcherdesigner through the narratives of his life, and his seminal works, the
impact of which is phenomenal.
